of southwestern Turkey. It is

from the Seljuks to the
Ottomans have influenced
and added to Antalya’s
character, culture and
architecture.
We then proceed to the
Museum. Antalya Museum
is located on the
outskirts of the city
and reflects
contemporary museum
concepts. It is one of
Turkey's largest museums
with 14 exhibition halls
and an open air gallery
and houses 5000 works of
art. And yet another 25
– 30.000 artifacts are
being kept in storage…

Aspendos - Half-Day (max 4 Hours)
Departure from the Antalya port and drive to
Aspendos, one the best preserved theatres of
the antique world with seating for 15,000.
The galleries, stage decorations and the
acoustics all reflect the success of the
architect. Close to the theatre the remains
of an aqueduct – one of the largest in
Anatolia - can be seen. Aspendos is 49 km
from Antalya and is reached by crossing the
Köprü River over a very old Seljuk bridge.

Aspendos and Perge - 6 Hours
Morning departure from Antalya port for the
drive to Perge.
Perge, located 18 km East of Antalya,
presents to your curiosity its colonnaded
streets, agora, bath, stadium and theatre.
The Hittites settled in this area in 1500 BC
and St. Paul stopped here on one of his
journeys in the period that Perge was an
important city of ancient Pamphylia. The
stage of the theatre has very nice marble
relief work. Some of the relief is displayed
in the stadium for easy viewing.
Then departure for Aspendos, one of the best
preserved theatres of the antique world with
seating for 15,000. The galleries, stage

Phaselis - 6 Hours
Morning departure from Antalya port to
Phaselis. Situated at the foot of Mt.
Tahtali (Olympos) 15 km south of Kemer, the
commercial importance of the city is shown
to us by its 3 harbors. The many ruins -
aqueducts, agoras, bath, a theatre,
Hadrian’s gate and an acropolis – also
emphasize the city’s historical importance.
The sheltered pebble beaches around the bays
are delightful.

Thermessos - 6

Termessos. From the parking lot, we will
climb up to Termessos, perched at an
altitude of 3,280 feet (1000 meters) at the
top of the Gulluk Mountain on the north-western
part of Antalya. The vast ruins of the site
comprise the Theatre, Odeon, Necropolis,
Temple, Cisterns from the Hellenistic and
Roman periods.
This tour is recommended to trained trekkers.

Olympos - 6 Hours
Morning departure from Antalya port drive to
Olympos which is located 13 km from Phaselis
and on the South of Tahtali Mountains. The
ancient city was built in the IInd century
and got its name from the imposing mountain
on the slopes of which it rests.
Olympos is an interesting touristic place
with nearby beaches, river and history.
Cirali and Yanartas (“Chimeira”, the burning
rocks), located north east of Olympos, are
the origin of the Myth of Bellerofontes, one
of the well known mythological stories.
Those arriving in Cirali for the first time
will be amazed to see flames springing out
of the ground. This extraordinary phenomenon
is caused by natural gas streaming from
underground sources which - coming into
contact with the oxygen in the atmosphere -
bursts into flames. They have been burning
for thousands of years.
